VoloTV firm on right track to deliver world first in travel entertainment technology

VoloTV firm is on track to deliver the world's first train fleet equipped with the most advanced entertainment technology of its kind.
The firm has already reported a weekly doubling in viewing figures of its state-of-the-art touch screen on-demand entertainment systems following a successful pilot scheme launched in late 2009 which saw occupancy rates increase in Riviera Night Sleeper cabins offering the service.

Telly addicts from are being called upon to be among the first fleet of screen pilots to test-drive the world's first on-train entertainment.
First Great Western has joined forces with entertainment providers, VoloTV, to sign up 100 volunteers to try out the on-demand, touch screen systems free of charge.

I never thought I'd say it but I actually think trains are getting better. A few years ago they offered a horrible customer experience. They were outdated, dirty, packed to capacity and invariably late. The trains I travel on now tend to be newer and cleaner. Granted, they're often still packed, but even the punctuality has improved.
My cautious optimism isn't shared, mind you. Whenever I ask other people how they get on with travelling on trains, the response veers toward the negative.
